Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches
Please join us on June 27th and 28th for CCAR Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches .
Ethics trainings are not all created equal. Recovery coaches need an understanding of ethics that differs from those of clinicians due to their unique role while guiding someone through their own recovery process. Recovery coaching as a peer-to-peer recovery support service has grown exponentially over the past few years. Ethical considerations have been discussed in many circles, yet formal training has been lacking for recovery coaches. This 16-hour training addresses this critical need. Based on the widely used Ethical Guidelines for the Delivery of Peer-based Recovery Support Services by William White and PROACT (2007), we designed this training to help coaches and anyone else working in the peer role, to understand how critical it is to be ethically responsible. Using presentations, small group work, and role play to address many areas, including defining the coaching service role and functions, coaching standards, issues of vulnerability, ethical decision-making, performance enhancement, and legal issues.
This educational program is approved by NAADAC #195293 and is applicable to the Maryland CPRS credential for 16 CEU's in the domain of Ethics

Arise Behavioral Health Back to School Community Initiative
Supporting Students, Strengthening Families, Building Community
Time4Change Support Services is proud to partner with Arise Behavioral Health and other community organizations in support of the Community School Readiness Initiative.
As families continue to face rising costs and increasing financial pressures, preparing children for a new school year can be challenging. Access to school supplies, basic necessities, and community resources can make a meaningful difference in helping students begin the school year prepared, confident, and ready to succeed.
This initiative focuses on collecting new school supplies and connecting youth and families with valuable community resources and supports. The effort will conclude with a Community School Readiness Event on August 8, 2026, where families can access school supplies and learn about programs and services available throughout the region.
How You Can Help
Community members, businesses, organizations, churches, and service providers can support the initiative by:
Donating new school supplies
Hosting a collection box or supply drive
Sharing information with their networks
Participating as a community resource partner
Volunteering at the event
Additional Community Needs
Many families also experience challenges related to food insecurity and access to basic necessities. In partnership with community organizations, donations of non-perishable food items, hygiene products, and household essentials are welcomed and help support individuals and families facing immediate needs.
Community Impact Starts With Us
At Time4Change Support Services, we believe lasting change happens when communities work together. Whether through recovery support, education, advocacy, or community partnerships, every contribution helps create opportunities for individuals and families to thrive.
